So here are the tips to help you get started.

1.Share. Give them links to interesting websites…like funny pics or resource lists. The more interesting information you share with others the more retweets you’ll get.
2.Communicate well. Reply to interesting people, get in to discussions and make your point. The more active that you are on twitter, the more people are going to follow you.
3. Add your twitter information to your email signature.
4. Add the twitter widget to your website. By adding twitter widget to your site or blog encourages readers to check out your activities on twitter.
5. Be Interesting on the site. Post things that are actually interesting.
6. Don’t tweet just to be followed. Be yourself. It should be because you really want to engage with people.

There are plenty of ways that you can grow your followers on Twitter. But the above methods have worked best for me.
